Rungwell today published Rung by rung, its Impact Report for 2025.
At the end of 2025 Rungwell employed 2,964 people in its two delivery centres, 940 of them through Rungwell at Home, and 4,118 people had worked at Rungwell since 2016. Labellers who worked a full month earned a median of 2.3 times the applicable minimum wage in Nairobi and 1.6 times in Metro Manila. Forty-one labellers were promoted during the year, bringing the total since 2016 to 287.
The report also sets out where we fell short. Twelve-month retention for labellers who joined in 2024 was 64 per cent, below our target of 70. Fewer than four in ten people who left us in 2024 answered our follow-up survey, which limits what we can say about where the ladder leads after Rungwell. And labellers on sensitive-content work told us, in our annual survey, that the wellbeing program is good on paper and harder to use on a busy shift. We will commission an independent review of the program in 2026.
“A rung is only worth something if you can stand on it,” said Nadine Arsenault, Executive Director. “This report is our attempt to say honestly how many people are standing on one, and how many are still reaching.”
