Joseph Githinji, who co-founded Rungwell in 2015 and has led its work in Kenya since the Nairobi centre opened, steps back from his executive role today. He becomes chair of Rungwell Kenya Limited and joins the board of Rungwell Inc. as a director.
Esther Ndirangu is appointed Country Director, Kenya. She joined Rungwell in 2018 as head of operations in Nairobi, after twelve years in banking operations, and has run the centre day to day since 2019.
“I wanted to build something that would outlast my enthusiasm for running it,” said Mr. Githinji. “Esther has been running the centre better than I did for two years. It is time the title caught up.”
