For clients
Responsible sourcing
If you buy data work, you are responsible for how it is done. Here is what you are buying when you buy it from us, and what we ask of you in return.
What we commit to
- Employment
- Every item is labelled by a Rungwell employee. No crowd platforms, no subcontractors, no agency labour.
- Pay
- Pay above the applicable minimum wage, published every year as a multiple of it in our impact report, with the method explained.
- Wellbeing
- Content tiers, wellbeing time in the shift, counsellors on site and the right to step away from any project.
- Voice
- Cohort representatives, a labeller-elected director, and the representatives’ right to refer any project to our board’s ethics committee.
- Transparency
- An annual impact report with the uncomfortable numbers in it, and audited financial statements.
What we ask of you
- Provenance
- A written statement of how the data was collected, from whom and on what basis you hold it, before work begins.
- Purpose
- An honest account of what the system you are building is for. We decline work for weapons targeting and for identifying people without their knowledge.
- Realistic timelines
- Deadlines that do not require labellers to skip wellbeing time.
- Feedback
- Acceptance or return of each batch within ten working days, with reasons.
Audit
Clients may audit our labour practices as well as our quality, on site, with notice. We share our supplier code, our supply chain report and, under a non-disclosure agreement, our ISO/IEC 27001 statement of applicability.
